About the Role
The Medicinal Chemist will work with chemistry colleagues and consultants to design, synthesize, purify, and characterize organic compounds for use in medicinal chemistry studies. They will work with collaborating biologists to interpret assay data, and design and prioritize new compounds in an iterative fashion. They will co-supervise and train junior scientists, including research interns. They are also responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, keeping diligent records using electronic lab notebooks and related databases, and assisting with the preparation of patent applications, grant applications, and manuscripts. Some remote work is possible, but most of the work is on site. A benefits package, including health insurance reimbursement and stock options, will be provided. The start date is negotiable.
